Alan Nelson, Of-Counsel, has over ten years of experience in business transactions and competitive strategy. His primary areas of practice are business law and consulting.
After becoming a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Nelson lived and worked overseas as Associate General Counsel and Director of Business Development of a multinational public company. His experience includes negotiations and management of international and domestic business matters including acquisitions, real estate transactions, governmental compliance matters, and creating profitable business models. Mr. Nelson works with companies to develop growth and turn-around strategy, raise capital, implement competitive tactics and create exit plans.
As a former house counsel, Mr. Nelson knows the importance of controlling legal costs and understanding the business models of his clients.
An Arizona Board of Regents and Dean’s Merit Scholar, Mr. Nelson graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law with an emphasis on business transactions. Mr. Nelson’s international studies include a Harvard Case Study curriculum with the IPSOA Business School (Milan, Italy).
Mr. Nelson is actively involved in not-for-profit organizations. He is vice president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis and served on the University of Arizona College of Law Executive Committee.
Mr. Nelson has received numerous honors and recognitions including the Key to the City of Indianapolis and the L.L. Goodman Civic Leadership Award.
